Day 21 - golf challenge 2010

Bit of a weird day yesterday. Was sitting at home working away pondering whether to go to the driving range. I was having a break from the gym today, but thought to myself if I want to meet my goals I need to be hitting golf balls.

At the range I wasn't swinging or hitting the ball very well. I got 100 balls to use, if I hadn't paid for them I'd have just walked away but that is difficult when you feel you need to get your money's worth! Days like this are horrible as they make you think that your goal is so far away that it isn't even worth pursuing and all the hard work put in so far means nothing. I'm only 21 days into this though so need to remember things are only just beginning for this season and in the grand scheme of things I am just getting going again after not playing much at all for the last 4 months of 2009.

May be taking Mondays off exercise and hitting balls is a good thing? Monday is always hard as the weekend is over and work needs to be done. May be it is a good time to give the body and mind a rest and to plan how to attack the rest of the week in a strong and focussed manner.

Definitely taking today off from the range - but will be heading to the gym in the evening.

18th Jan 2010

Gravatar I have sessions like that when you are out of sorts and nothing seems to click. Ypu've paid for the balls and feel compelled to hit them. I usually try and focus on something simple like a good tempo and not woory too much where they go.

Stick with it as its early days. Might be worth just looking at your fitness/golf schedule and seeing how you can change it or vary it a bit to keep the interest going 1/19/2010 9:16 PM | Martin
