The good round of golf I have been threatening to do has finally happened. I managed 76 on Sunday at Theale which I was very happy with. Someone came in with 42 points and so beat me in the Stableford Rollup but I’m not too bothered about that! Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Trained Brain Peak Performance Seminar with Jamie Edwards at Sandford Springs. Jamie did a session like this last year as well but unfortunately after buying a ticket I forgot to put it in my calendar and so didn’t make it along to the event! I was kicking myself as everybody was saying how good it was. I learned my lesson by putting 1 or 2 day alerts on all my calendar items now. It has been a good weekend of golf. On Wednesday I played in the midweek stableford at Sandford and scored 33 points. It was another day of hitting great drives, being unsure about how far my irons would go, and inconsistent pitching and chipping. I had a 2 hour lesson on Friday with Neal Granville over at Sandford Springs. As I’m striking the ball much better now we came the conclusion I’m hitting 10 yards further with each club so need to recalibrate all my distances. It has been a bit quiet around here recently. In February I managed to book a relatively last minute weeks holiday in Spain at Roda golf course. I was fed up with the cold, snow and rain here so decided to do something about it. My dad was keen to come and my girlfriend who is a teacher had a week half term holiday so we decided to go.
